San Angeles, 2160.
Babylon Smith is a freelance Regulator working the mean streets of the mega-city and struggling to make ends meet. Up to his eyeballs in debt from his many addictions, Babylon has to take on any job that comes along just to survive. So, when one of the city’s largest corporations approaches him with a missing person case at triple the going rate, it’s an offer he cannot refuse.
Babylon is tasked with tracking down a high-level asset who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. At first the case seems simple enough but, as he digs deeper, Babylon soon uncovers a deadly conspiracy that threatens to destroy everything he knows. It’s a journey that will lead him into the heart of the urban sprawl where renegade corporations fight a brutal informational cold war, black market cloning and gene manipulation run rampant, sentient artificial machines govern the teeming, overcrowded streets, and Life + institutions offer virtual life after death.
Joined by his rebellious daughter Medusa and his ex-partner Royo, Babylon must race to unravel the truth and eliminate a ruthless menace before time runs out.
